Working with startups has accelerated our design and research process and I’ve personally struggled because that compression greatly increases risk. I think focused bursts are great starting points but when its touted as a panacea, it gets into the mainstream and creates false promises. Most designers may understand the nuance and context behind design sprints but outsiders don’t.

I hope insiders will read this and understand the responsibility they have to avoid oversimplifying and overstating the design sprints concept.
