I’m not sure what you mean specifically by “technical skills” but you can definitely learn how to work as a team through a few books. I think Leah Buley’s, “The User Experience Team of One” is a good place to start. I also really loved Dan Brown’s, “Communicating Design.” It does a phenomenal job of breaking down how you work with others as a designer.
