This is an interesting perspective I hadn’t considered. I’m a UX designer which doesn’t have the rich history of graphic design but there are some takeaways here for practice. As a design lead, I do ask tough questions and review work before it’s delivered to development. I can see that parallel ro an editor reviewing writing before going to the printer.

I also find Art/Creative Director to be problematic in my field. I wonder if Design Editor would be more appropriate.
